Well, the address given was that assigned by my dial-up provider. My main computer runs through a firewall (486 running a floppy based linux) that does the actual dialling and connection. The whole combination passes all the usual scan tests. The actual program appeared to be nothing more than a logging gizmo, although I didn't spend long enough looking at it to be sure. Thanks to everyone that reassured me. Although I have been using Linux for six years or so, I am not very knowledgeable about the inner workings. Although I am trying :-) Cheers, Alan -- ------------------------------------------------------ Alan L Tyree [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.law.usyd.edu.au/~alant Tel: +61 2 4782 2670 Mobile: +61 419 638 170 Fax: +61 2 4782 7092 -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group - http://slug.org.au/ More Info: http://lists.slug.org.au/listinfo/slug
