My guess, .xinitrc
in your users directory :) As it usually exec's the gui right at the end... and if you search for .xinitrc examples you'll see it also launches pre set xterm's you want etc too... just about anything can be loaded with it as you desktop comes up. SO I'd say make one and only put the app in it you want to load...
