So I decided to have a look at this and downloaded, built and installed
krusader. It worked out of the box for me - indeed it takes its right
click menu thingos from the same place that konqueror (and, I expect all
kde apps) come from. The only odd thing about it is the place it
installs:
/usr/local/kde/bin/krusader
So I guess check you're running that and not something you've installed
for a previous kde version.
It might be useful in future when building stuff from source to try a
make uninstall on the old sources before building a new version or
building for a new library or something. Then if you're trying to run an
old version it will give you an error rather than silently failing.
This may not be the problem of course :)
