Hi all, I am in a state of shock at the moment, my monthly Optus internet bill instead of being the normal $39 is $1079! Apparently my modem has not been hanging up and I have chlaked up 300 excess hours at $3.50 per hour. Now I have no reason to disbelieve them as I have noticed that it is occasionally on-line when I go to use it, but did not realise just how much it had been on line.
Now the question is this, I am using a RH7.2 server and ppp on a dial-up connection, is there anywhere that ppp would log its 'session times'. I am not at home at the moment but would like to have some idea as to where to look later tonight. I imagine it is all buried in syslog and that a suitable grep might reveal the information? _________________________________________ Simon Bryan IT Manager OLMC Parramata ICQ#: 137562751 _________________________________________ -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group - http://slug.org.au/ More Info: http://lists.slug.org.au/listinfo/slug
