I've got a co-worker (not on this list) who is experiencing problems
in setting up Apache & PHP.

The httpd process is using all available memory, including swap. He's
showed me top outputs where httpd is > 1Gb.

The box is Debian with 2.4.18-686-smp, Apache 1.3.27 and PHP 4.2.3

I've heard there are some issues with the VM in the 2.4 series
kernels. Are we likely to be running into that here? Or is it to do
with the way he's building Apache/PHP?

(And yes, I know about apt-get etc. Not usable in this instance,
unfortunately)

Cheers
