Err... a full backup was performed... as stated...

The line "DUMP: WARNING: There is no inferior level dump on this 
filesystem" is what has grabbed my curiousity and tells me that dump is 
refusing to do an incremental backup...

I'm wondering why...

I haven't seen this in any of the documentation...

*Anyone* have *any* ideas?

You can't do an incremental until you've done a full. (iirc)
