I had to do this recently. I think all you need to do is add nsw.optushome.com.au to your dns search domain. In /etc/resolv.conf put search nsw.optushome.com.au and it should work. (also fix dhcp so the clients get the correct domain to search) Now if you dig through the archives there are many more examples/answers, but that seemed to work for me.
