Hi

I have magicpoint installed but it requires true type fonts for best
display.
I am trying to find out what package I need to provide those fonts. Its
.mgprc file says
I am just using the

apt-cache shows....
freetype2 - Dummy package for transition to libttf2.
fttools - FreeType font utilities.
libfreetype6 - FreeType 2 font engine, shared library files.
libttf2 - FreeType 1, The FREE TrueType Font Engine, shared library
files.
vflib3 - Versatile Font Library
xfs-xtt - X-TrueType font server

I installed freetype2 and found that was just a small doc saying it was
a dummy package - silly me.

The following package is already installed. I gather that this is the
latest and greatest and I need this lib.

Package: libfreetype6
Replaces: freetype0, freetype1
Conflicts: freetype
Description: FreeType 2 font engine, shared library files.
The FreeType 2 library is their new software font engine. ....
This package contains the files needed to run programs that use the
  FreeType 2 library.

I had a look at this below (libttf2) but not sure that this provides
what I need. Certainly mgp didnt think so. I asked me to use -x vflib
and exited.

Package: libttf2
Section: oldlibs
Replaces: freetype0, freetype1, freetype2
Provides: freetype2
Description: FreeType 1, The FREE TrueType Font Engine, shared library
files.
The FreeType 1 engine is a free and portable TrueType font rendering
engine.
It has been developed to provide TT support to a great variety of
platforms
  and environments.
  .
Note: FreeType 2 (libfreetype soname 6, Debian packages libfreetype6
and
libfreetype6-dev) has arrived. The FreeType 2 API is a lot
simpler
than the one in 1.x while being much more powerful. We thus
encourage you to adapt your source code to it as this should not
         involve much work.

The above suggests that I should not install libttf2 but install
libfreetype6 package.

I installed freefont which put many fonts into the X11 directory but
didnt provide what mgp wanted.

What do I need? I am running Debian 3.0 without GNOME. I just run
Enlightenment and want mgp to show nice fonts. The magicpoint homepage
hasnt got an faq that answers this and its readme is a bit short on
details.
