Hi there, Has anybody here been able to get the Belkin USB Videobus II (as sold at Hardly Normal for $99) to work under Linux?
I have determined that the correct driver (usbvision if Google serves me well) is included in 2.4.20 and have compiled, making sure to include the appropriate drivers. Perhaps usbvision is not the correct driver? The module does load, however. The device shows up in usbview, but neither GnomeMeeting, XawTV, nor KWinTV show any video. GnomeMeeting says that the device is successfully loaded but no video, XawTV just gives me a black screen with ??? in the title bar and KWinTV shows the device in the source dialog but then asks me to select channels from an empty dialog. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could offer pointers to getting this device to work in Linux. It does work in Windows, so the cabling etc. is ok. Thanks in advance, Regards, John... -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group - http://slug.org.au/ More Info: http://lists.slug.org.au/listinfo/slug
