If you use fdisk in linux to fdisk /dev/hda, can you see a small sized chunk of disk at the beginning of the drive that you didn't create. It could be about 4mb or more. If so, this is the COMPAQ (HP) bios. And if it exists, just create a lilo/grub entry to boot it from the lilo/grub prompt. As I've seen the F10 thing stop working once linux is on the unit, so you need to make a menu option to do it on lilo/grub. And if this small space don't exist, then you can get the disks off the compaq (hp) site to recreate it next time you rebuild your machine, and the floppies can also be used to boot and make bios changes as required until you put them back onto this hidden partitation :) -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group - http://slug.org.au/ More Info: http://lists.slug.org.au/listinfo/slug
