Hi People,

On Slashdot today there is a big article about Subversion, one
of the many propsed replacements for CVS. One of the criticisms
of Subversion in the talkbacks, is its reliance on Apache (verion
2) WebDAV etc etc. This reliance on a Whole Bunch of Other Stuff
(tm) is a huge minus as far as I am concerned.

However, one of the other CVS alternatives mentioned is Aegis by
Peter Miller who relatively local (Canberra or Sydney?). I have
been meaning to try out Aegis for some time but never quite got
around to it.

So, would it be possible to invite Peter to come and give an
introductory talk on Aegis at a SLUG meeting? I'm sure I'm not
the only person who would find this useful. If Peter is not able
to do this, then I may volunteer when and if I get around to
setting it up myself :-).

Cheers,
Erik
