flashing DVD bios to change region settings etc.
Also check DVD RegionFree (http://www.dvdidle.com/dvd-region-free.htm) and
other links from site.
See also http://regionhacks.datatestlab.com/ for DVD region patches.
Of course, you may unfortunately need Windows to run/enable these
hacks/patches.
Also,ometimes it may only be a matter of jumper settings to region free a
DVD drive from info on sites I've seen in the past.
If the above fail, run a search on Google for the brand and model of your
DVD, then search for "region free" within the results.
