Dear Experts, I am now the proud possessor of my first Linux O.S. My pride however has quickly turned to humiliation as I try to figure out the "why's and wherefores" of Linux. I have made a little progress, but am mystified as to how to insert commands. Is it correct to use "Terminal" in the Gnome window or is there another method? My info books don't give much of a clue...invariably stating "insert command at the prompt". What prompt and where? MS-DOS prompt doesn't seem to be in fashion. Thanks for any information.
