I have a linux box connected to iinet's ADSL I solved my problem by removing pppoe on the linux box and installing dhcpcd on the box.
The thing is that with my connection even though the ADSL router connects using pppoe Linux doesn't connect to the ADSL router using that method. what you do is configure the ethernet port to use dhcp to connect to the router the router will assign you an ip address ie: 192.168.0.2 it's ip will be 192.168.0.1 Then you use your browser connect to 192.168.0.1 and manually connect to iinet. > > Are you trying to connect to iinet with ADSL and Linux? > > Yes.
