RUXCON - 12/13 April, 2003. SYDNEY, Australia. RUXCON is a conference organized by and for the Australian computer security community. It is an attempt to bring together the individual talents of the Australian scene through live presentations, activities and demonstrations.
RUXCON will be a two day conference held on April 12 and 13, 2003. The presentations will cover a full range of defensive and offensive security issues, varying from unpublished technical research to fundamental concepts for the general public. The presentation track will allocate one hour time slots per speaker. The activities will be more hands-on, interactive, and typically presented in an informal fashion. Activities and competitions will allow people to learn new skills, while experts test their abilities against their peers. The venue of the conference is the UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, SYDNEY. It is due to the generosity of UTS that the conference does not require commercial sponsorship. At present, the expected ticket price is AU$30, however this may decrease closer to the event. Please note that the conference will be held over a weekend to facilitate greater attendance. For more information on the conference, and for information on submitting presentations or activities, please see the conference website at http://www.ruxcon.org/ We hope to see you there.
