Gday Everyone,
Okay -- ive got a small Debian Server which serves samba shares, etc.

Clients can connect to the net through a small php file, which executes
pon.

Now my problem is that im running (well, at least trying) to run a squid
proxy server. However squid will refuse to work until the internet is
connected, and then I need to ssh in and run '/etc/init.d/squid start'.
Now the rest of the family are not very computer-litirate so I don't
want to have them trying to start and stop squid.

However how can i get squid to start without being connected to the
'net.

BTW, If anybody would like the script (Its GPL) -- just email me back :)

Cheers,
Chris
