That is correct - its their choice that they want the resume in that
form so they can edit it in the way that they are used to. Say I was a
recruiter and I was a real fan of open standards, accessability and W3C
standards so I insisted that all resumes and applications had to be
submitted in HTML that was W3C HTML 4.0 compliant and passed the Bobby
tests for Web accessability. That way I could edit the HTML in vi which
I am used to. Many applicants would not have the software to write
correct HTML to that standard. Q: Who is right? A: No one.

They probably would. Problem is you would never know. I think you have
to sumbit in Word and lump it.

But at least when you are composing it set Word to "save history", run a
script to make lots of changes automatically and send then that 5 page
resume that's 2 MBytes and enjoy it :-)
