That is correct - its their choice that they want the resume in that form so they can edit it in the way that they are used to. Say I was a recruiter and I was a real fan of open standards, accessability and W3C standards so I insisted that all resumes and applications had to be submitted in HTML that was W3C HTML 4.0 compliant and passed the Bobby tests for Web accessability. That way I could edit the HTML in vi which I am used to. Many applicants would not have the software to write correct HTML to that standard. Q: Who is right? A: No one. > a job then you submit your resume in word format other wise they might place > your resume in the trash rather than the too hard basket. :) They probably would. Problem is you would never know. I think you have to sumbit in Word and lump it. But at least when you are composing it set Word to "save history", run a script to make lots of changes automatically and send then that 5 page resume that's 2 MBytes and enjoy it :-) Mike -- Mike Lake Uni of Technol., Sydney UTS CRICOS Provider Code: 00099F DISCLAIMER ======================================================================== This email message and any accompanying attachments may contain confidential information.
