Congratulations on trying out Debian Woody. This might seem obvious to some, but I feel I must point out http://www.debian.org/doc/ (or equivalently, http://www.au.debian.org/doc/) I find the "Debian Reference" very good, and quite thick. Apparently it is very actively maintained too, and some other Debian manuals may be on track to merge into it soon. There are some Debian specific HOWTOs mentioned on that page too.
