I have had some experence with some NT and w2k cracking tools at work which booted Linux and modified the local sam database you could either change Administrator or a local users password with out issue. But resizing NTFS sounds like a lot of fun. Apparently RH does NTFS resizing now as well. So it seems to be pretty stable.
