Hi All, Stephen SLI27 Lindsay suggested, This presents a list of all the modules you can activate, grouped into logical areas. You then just select it, it gets loaded, and then you don't have to worry about it again (assuming it's the right one). Fire up modconf and see if there is a driver that looks like ac97?
unfortunately, there is nothing remotely like sound at all! How do I install asound module? regards Mick PS: I have actually managed to do a few things on my own, like apt-getting various packages I want and I have installed and configured samba, so I am trying things on my own, not just e-mailing the list willy- nilly. -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group - http://slug.org.au/ More Info: http://lists.slug.org.au/listinfo/slug
