Unfortunately, this is a problem you're only likely to get if you're
installing with Knoppix, or have a system that is half-half stable and
unstable. A client had this problem on a system she half upgraded to
unstable recently -> she ended up downgrading everything she could to their
stable versions. Unless you completely upgrade to unstable, that's really
the only way to deal with it sanely.
