I assume that, at root, I simply type hotplug? I'm not sure because the manual for hotplug is beyond my comprehension. It seems to be saying (in the syntax) that I type hotplug and then pipe it to NAME, where NAME is the agent that's been connected by hotplug. If I'm right, then it's a circular argument, because I don't know where (or under what name) hotplug has connected the burner. I have one other question. If I want to burn a CD at the end of a work session, I will have to connect the burner whilst the computer is still on, ie., a warm connection. Will hotplug wear this?
