Is any one using grub and a raid / (in particular raid1)

I have setiup to had drives /dev/hda & /dev/hdc

hdx1 = dell partion (40M)
hdx2 = 80G partiotion type FD
hda3 = swap
hdb3 = swap

I have grub booting of hd (0,1) (/dev/hda2) root=/dev/md0

My problem is that when the system boot and it seems to boot well is
that the raid is broken, hda2 will not associate with the raid.

I have a fix, /et/rc.boot/fixraid which re attaches the drive to the
raid drive.

Now my question is should I move back to lilo, which seem to handle
booting of raid / better than grub.

My presumption is grub is not really handling the raid partion, but
using the fact that the raid1 drive is the same layout as if it was
raided!
