No. This sort of feature is somewhat in development. Check out bug:

Similar deal, but basically 'dun tell me when new mail has come, when its only junk'. (Vote for it if you keen :). In the comments someone mentions it may/is they are aiming it for 1.5a
Also, I've got it showing messages threaded but how can I make the default state also be "expand all threads"?
I think in my experience it expands only the oldest new msg (if that makes sense). Might want to trawl through about:config (type in browser). Had a quick look, didnt really find anything
PS. anyone tried thunderbird? (the mozilla standalone mail app)
Yeah i tried the first windows build. Alright i guess. I dont really mind them being integrated at the moment. Its not even 0.1 yet so cant expect much.
