Hi all,

Every now and then I decide I wouldn't mind being connected to the MBone
(Multicast Backbone), generally around IETF times. The IETF is currently
on in Vienna and if you work at or connect with:

Connect.com.au, AARNET SA RNO, The University of Queensland,
AARNet VIC RNO, AARnet NSW RNO, AARNet ACT RNO, AARNet TAS RNO or
AARNet Grangenet

Then you _have_ direct access to the multicast backbone. If you work for /
connect with these organisation you _may_ have multicast connectivity:

IAP Group / Highway 1, Wantree Development, iiNET, News Interactive,
Healy Communications, A. R. Internet, Vianet Communications, CIA, AAPT,
Braenet, MelbourneIT, Corinthian Internet, News Interactive, Dept. of
Public Works and Service (NSW), AAP, ColesMyer, KPMG, Hutchison 3G, TNT,
Nestle, Vodafone, AARNet, Electronic Arts, CSC, GE, TMP, DFAT and TPG
Internet

I've, no doubt, left of many other organisations. If someone knows of a
definitative list don't be shy. From what I can tell about one-third of
all organisations _may_ have multicast connectivity; I'm unsure how many
have taken it up.

If you are going via your ISP - the best strategy is to ring them up and
ask. Especially if they are listed above.

Hope this helps someone.

Regards,
Anand
