I recommend any card with the ice1712 chip which includes cards from 
Terratac and M-Audio.

I very much recommend ext3 as the filesystem for the OS and apps. Its a 
known reliable journalled fs. For the audio filesystem XFS or Reiser 
would be good choices. I'll probably get around to test both a some
point.
