A long time ago, far far away in another galaxy...
Hi having installed realplayer/realjukebox plus on my system, I now find that it has infiltrated the nether reigons of my PC and I tried to - I forget.. I think it was that when I installed Netscape 7, it decided to install it's self into that, by pass my firewall and then hook up with home base.... - completely against my wishes...., so I kind of killed it off, and even into the "obvious parts of the registry, or some thing like that cause is was playin up bad after calling back to home base ??? or running in netscape...and but anyway when it was reinstalled.
So after reinstalling, it now gives a bullshit pop up message "Real jukebox has detected a problem with your track information. Do you want to restore it from the last saved copy?" and if I hit YES 100+1 times the nag screen goes and then comes back and if I hit the NO 100+1 times the nag screen goes and then comes back...... (just insane....)
So after several progressively deepening unistalls, even into the obvious parts of the registry, I can't get real jukebox to run and the idiotic message keeps coming up.....
I have tried unistall AKA the real player / jukebox uninstall, I have tried it with the Program (add) remove in the system functions, + deletion of the Real directories in the Program Files directory, and I have even eliminated REAL stuff from the registry.. I am stumped.....
Is there any way to remove it totally from everything every where - absolutley 100 %
What do you think should be done, and do you have any pointers on hunting down and killing off every little cockroach file in my system.... or ... just help...?
Real player / juke box is version 8 / build 6.09.... & I am running XP home too.
What should I do?
Thanks.
Shane.
