<rant>
Finally, after months of wanting a minimalist
window manager ("Nothing bulky, give me small")

I have installed fluxbox, and instant satisfaction
has landed.
Everything is small again!
(reminds me of my days with ctwm .. ahh the joy)

So for those who want an efficiently small window
manager. fluxbox is it.
(a spin off from blackbox I see)

thanks Eric for mentioning it a while back.. been
a bit busy to try.

<debain-install-issue>
I use debian unstable (not sure if it's a testing or unstable thing).

There was a problem installing it. Post installation
script complained of missing a file /etc/kde3/debian/d-debian.desktop

so I 'touch ...'ed that one, and then there was another, and another
etc. so then I figured, got to be a pattern here (and a better way)
so (search for that file in the packages)

dpkg -S d-debain.desktop

showed that 'kdebase' was a provider of this file
installed kdebase (I have always used gnome prior to this)

and then another install attempt of fluxbox provided success.

logged out of gnome, and fluxbox was there on the gdm menu list
as a session option.
