I have a series of script I run, which typically take several goes (on
after the other), before they succeed. The first few times they will
tend to fail when using csplit, with the message:

csplit: memory exhausted

But if I just run the same command several times in a row, it will
eventually sail through just fine.

The scripts don't cache intermediate results in files to save work.
Is this a bug in Linux's VM or something?
