These are all content management systems. Chris, sorry, what I'm after is a document/file management storage/retrieval system, something like a 'document library' where you have say: categories /subject / author /date /revised, where a user can view or download /edit/upload a document, like a small library, but not like a content management. I tried something a long time ago from a Melbourne company (that wasn't quite ready back then), and, there was a few others, hence I 'm looking for feedback from using such a system > >what about a doc imaging system ? > > I'd say gallery(.org) is best for this. > http://slug.org.au/gallery/ is powered by Gallery. thanks, I'll follow that. what I'm after is scanning single and multi page docs containg text and/or images, I guess something not unlike Caere's Pagekeeper.
