to fill the 2 vacant positions for "General Committee" members.

We are looking for candidates who enjoy SLUG, and would like to be
involved in ensuring that SLUG remains a fun place to promote and
support Linux and Open Source Software in Sydney.

willingness to nominate, please email [EMAIL PROTECTED] and let us all

The SLUG committee.

---
Summary of election procedure:

 - Please send nominations to [EMAIL PROTECTED] or nominate the candidate
at the meeting on Friday. Check with them first to make sure they
are willing to be on SLUG committee.

 - All candidates must be financial members of SLUG for 2003 by the time
   of the election.

 - All people voting in the election must be financial members of SLUG
at the time of the election. Please bring your membership card along,
   or join on the night.

 - If two or less than two nominations are made and accepted, the
   nominees will be declared elected.

 - If more than two nominations are made and accepted, the election will
be conducted via a show of hands at the next SLUG meeting: Friday
26th September, 2003, at 7pm, with each financial member in
   attendance getting two votes.

You can become a financial member on the night by paying Jamie Wilkinson
the membership fee. Since this meeting falls six months after the AGM,
you will only need to pay half a year's membership fee -- $12.50, which
will cover membership until the AGM in March 2004.

If you have any questions about the new SLUG committee or the election,
please contact the SLUG committee -- [EMAIL PROTECTED]
