If the syslog process has the file open for writing, then deleting it won't free up the space (AFAIK). Restart syslog (/etc/init.d/sysklog restart) and see if that helps. You might also want to look at logrotate or something similar. TG -- Tony Green <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
