Mandrake comes with a built in firewall that is most likely dropping the heartbeat, go into the mandrake control center and have a poke at the security settings, you want to allow your dce-server to access port 5050, and set the same in /etc/bpalogin.conf. -- Tony Green <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
