I think we have all lost our way on a few topics namely yuk, spam, and subscriptions. I think they have been all way off topic and should have been left well enough alone. (it's great to have 20/20 hind site) After motion has been made and seconded to appear in the next SLUG meeting we should not have seen any more to do with that crap. It appears egos have been hurt or a little bruised in the process because of differencing of opinion. If I appear to be one of the flamers, let me a sure you I don't mean to flame people. I am not a paying subscriber of SLUG but I believe I have provided support to people who have asked for it.
At times it seems fun to piss off someone, all I can see is a ganging up on one individual over one crappy and unimportant issue. Really if the Subscriptions was a big deal then why don't you vent your anger and contact the owner of the site and ask for the ip or origin of the persons who could have requested the subscription on behalf of SLUG, post it to the committee and let the person responsible explain their actions, and the committee could then decide what should happen to the individual involved.
