HI Nick, I am hoping you could give me a pointer or two about the setup of your "TPG". I also have an account and itworks ok on "Windows" but I have had all sorts of prob's with 'Mandrak 9.2". Linux see'e the modem "Netcomm NB1400" ok , but tpg will not respond. I don't have a lot of experience so any help will be much appreciated. I called past eLinux and considered the PCI card, but given the number of variables and obstacles with the static IP account I have with TPG, I pressed on and ended up at the Dick Smith SuperStore in Chatswood, where the D-Link DSL-300G, normally $169 was going for $129 packaged up as an OzEmail starter kit. It took couple of hours of boogling to get recognised by tpg. Anyway I'm up and running and writing from the router box now, next step is to get the workstation on the scene. (Hence the strange format of this email). Thanks for the kind offer. It's still a temptation, but I'm sure it's in good hands.
