oops, I think I should've added, I'm ssh'ing from a non-*nix system to a
remote RH73, my local system runs CP852 to give Latin2 characters.

so, at this time, if I enter accented 'ogonki' chars over ssh, (from my
CP852 PL452 system) they display OK over ssh, but, are not what I need.

I can run a tool(whatever the name is, there are at least two tools I
found, forgot the names now) to convert the text to another codepage, BUT,
is there a way to be able to enter/disply proper characters ?
