Let's say I had a mailserver that was primary MX for a domain, and it was delivering the mail locally to some mbox files.
Now, the primary MX has changed and it would be nice to move the mboxes from the old mailserver to the new one.. but the caveat is that the new mail server probably doesn't know mbox so I can't just tar them up and transfer them...
