We've had our brand spanking new 2004 venue fall through at the last hurdle so we are venue-less for January. This won't stop DebSIG going ahead though, it will just now have no organised structure or speaker.
Instead I'm sure there will be plenty of post Debian-mini-conf / LCA talk as well as a few wandering infamous Debian people who have made their way to Sydney post LCA. Note that DebSIG will be on the third Wednesday this year, *not* the second. We also have a nice new shiny website: http://debian.slug.org.au/about.html The website is still under heavy workload but the guts of it are there (having my laptop in for repairs has brought that to a grinding halt). There will be a complete back catalogue of data very soon as well as a properly functioning events calendar. This months DebSIG is as follows: When: Wednesday, January 21st, 7:00pm (6:30pm for early starters) Where: Metropole Hotel (above Macca's on the corner of George / Bridge) What: Banter, food (gourmet pizza's - $13), pool Hope to see you there to ring in the New Year. -- Cheers, Craige. o/~ I'm going to die with a twinkle in my eye 'cause I sung songs, spun stories, loved, laughed and drank wine o/~ - The Cat Empire -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ Subscription info and FAQs: http://slug.org.au/faq/mailinglists.html
