Hell Sluggers!
Here I am logging in on m$hite, in disgust, if only
for one reason...
I can't receive email or web sites on my linux
box.
I can connect using kppp, but when I try to load
any web pages nothing happens. A view of the trafic info on the details page
indicates an incoming blip, but absolutely no outgoing data.
I've gone through the etc/resolv.conf file and
checked that it points to my ISP;
search tac.com.au
202.9.244.6
202.9.244.3
when I'm connected it shows that I'm on the network
as 202.9.244.8 as the connect at the ISP and my station is something like
202.9.248.xxx or there abouts.
Is it possible that kppp is broken, it worked fine
for about 18 months and now it has stopped, I must remark that it is coincident
on my trying to set up a home network with a network 8 way switch amoung other
things, I don't know what I've stuffed up - any pointers anyone??
