I have heard of this, and it seems MS filed for this patent prior to the date Mozilla started punching out XML/XUL code.

Personally this has sort of winded me, as an aspiring XUL programmer.

I've heard nothing about this patent, but I highly doubt it would affect
us in any way.

Hey Derek, is the M$ XML pattents going to adversely affect
GnuCash? I am wondernig about *alot* of opensource projects. OO.o for
another one. That pattent reads like M$ is once again trying to
literally own all of the entire earth!! Man I am beginning to really
get tired of this. Sorry to rant, but some opensource projects such as
GnuCash, OO.o, and Mozilla use XML in central ways and if that wording
means what I suspect that could be *bad bad bad*. So my question here
is for the Devs: do you guys and gals have any info to share on this?
Sorry if this is a bit offtopic. But im starting up a new business and
its based on Linux and Gnucash, OO.o, and Mozilla Firefox /
Thunderbird... and im a bit worried here.

Thanks for your time and patience,
Gary Sheppard
