OK, neither pdflatex nor latex were all that happy with this. They
were however happy with things like this:

    \usepackage{geometry}
    \geometry{body={100mm, 150mm},top=20mm, bottom=20mm}

I messed with a couple of variants on this, but couldn't find anything
that did the trick.

That was a very good tip, but didn't help either.

In the end I fiddled with the geometry settings and inserted a single
\newpage on one spot and not the four page document looks right.
