Some of you may have seen the sudden increase of Planets throughout the world such as Planet GNOME[1] and Planet Debian[2]. Well now there's Planet SLUG!
Located at http://planet.slug.org.au/ (and thanks to the developers of Planet[3]) -- You can now read the blogs of your fellow SLUG'ers from a single page and see what they're up to. And best of all, you too can be on Planet SLUG. Simply email me with your name and a location of your RSS feed. Setting up a blogging system to be included on Planet SLUG is also easy if your new to blogging. Setting up a simple application on a webserver like pyblosxom[4] or Movable Type[5] or registering at somewhere like Advogato[6] or LiveJournal[7]. Further, if your interested about Planet - you can learn more this Friday's monthly meeting[8] & AGM where Jeff Waugh, founder of the Planet Craze will be talking about the Planet project from a technical and social view. Cheers goes to Peter Hardy for helping out with the templating and Jeff Waugh for help getting the configuration going. - Chris References: 1. - http://planet.gnome.org/ 2. - http://planet.debian.net/ 3. - http://www.planetplanet.org/ 4. - http://roughingit.subtlehints.net/pyblosxom/ 5. - http://www.movabletype.org/ 6. - http://www.advogato.org/ 7. - http://www.livejournal.com/ 8. - http://slug.org.au/events/detail.html?id=110 -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ Subscription info and FAQs: http://slug.org.au/faq/mailinglists.html
