Yes - don't - I repeat DON'T - park in the street near UTS if you have
anything at all valuable in your car.

In 3 and a half years of attending UTS at night, my car got broken into 4
times - and I only managed to park in the street on maybe 2% of the nights
I attended.

Use one of the pay carparks - you can park after 5:00 for a flat fee at
most of them, and they're 100% safer than parking in the street.

Suggested locations include Quay St/Thomas St Haymarket {runs left from
Broadway just past the bus interchange if you're heading into the city} -
or Ultimo Rd. There are a number of parking stations in this area, and all
are more secure than parking in the street.

If you drive something you think nobody would be bothered to steal, and it
you're happy with the risk of someone breaking your window just for the
hell of it, then park on the street {Thomas street continues behind UTS}
if you can beat the students to the spots. :-)
