When:
       Friday, March 26, 6:30pm - 9:30pm

Where:
       UTS Broadway

SLUG's monthly meeting. Meetings are open to the general public, and free
of charge. The room for this meeting is 1.16.22, UTS. This room is on
level 16 of the main UTS tower building: use the elevators in the centre
of the building.

Annual General Meeting:

 SLUG's Annual General Meeting, including president's report,
 treasurer's report and election of the 2004-2005 committee, will be
 held at the March monthly meeting.

General Talk:

 Jeff Waugh will talk about Planet - http://planetplanet.org/ - a simple
 blog aggregator written in Python - covering the history of the project
 from both a social and technical perspective, the effect of Planet on
 the communities it has touched, an overview of blogging and
 aggregation, points of interest in its development history, and how a
 tiny FOSS project can go a long way.

NOTE: Due to the AGM, no SLUGlets or special interest talk will be
held in March.

6:30pm: Doors Open

6:45pm: The Usual Suspects
       Q&A - Introduction to SLUG + "What has Linux done for/to me
       lately?" + SLUG News & Discussion

7:15pm: Annual General Meeting
       President's report, treasurer's report, and election of 2004-2005
       committee.

8:00pm: Break
       Refreshments in the foyer, for a small covering charge.

8:20pm: General talk
       Jeff Waugh talks about Planet.

Dinner
       This month, SLUG is returning to the House of Guang-Zhou
       restaurant ("The House of Boiled Television Entrails"). Banquet
       approximately $20 per head.

The AGM will commence at 7:15pm on Friday 26th March 2004, in room
1.16.22 of UTS Broadway.

The agenda for the AGM will be:

 1. President's report 2003-2004
 2. Treasurer's report 2003-2004
 3. Election of 2004-2005 SLUG committee

MEMBERSHIP

In order to vote in, or stand in, the election, you must be a 2004-2005
member of SLUG. You may pay either on the night, or by cheque to the
address listed on http://www.slug.org.au/contacts.html

Any cheques must be accompanied by your full name, email address, and
postal address.

Membership costs: $15 for students, unemployed people and healthcare
card holders, $25 otherwise.

PROXIES

If you want to vote but can't be there on the night, please let the
committee know the name of a proxy. If you can't organise a proxy, mail
the committee and one of the current committee members will hold your
proxy vote.

If you do not let the committee know of your proxy appointment, the
proxy will NOT be allowed to vote on your behalf.

If you're a candidate and can't be there, mail the committee and one of
the current committee members will make a statement for you. You will
probably also wish to appoint a proxy to hold your vote.
