Tux:~# uname -a Linux Tux 2.4.18-bf2.4 #1 Sam M?r 30 00:56:06 CET 2002 i686 GNU/Linux
When I tried 'apt-get install kernel-image 2.4.25-1-686' I ran out of room Tux:~# df
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on /dev/hdb5 466668 165651 276922 38% / tmpfs 191980 0 191980 0% /dev/shm /dev/hda1 19991104 10241648 9749456 52% /mnt/DOS /dev/hdb2 7746 2858 4488 39% /boot /dev/hdb9 31292860 2119484 27583748 8% /home /dev/hdb6 1921156 1830220 0 100% /usr /dev/hdb7 1921156 435876 1387688 24% /usr/local /dev/hdb8 1921156 311528 1512036 18% /var /dev/hde5 7692876 1130676 6171424 16% /home/cyberia /dev/hde6 1344016 8 1275736 1% /usr/cyberia
/usr is supposedly 100% full, but I can't seem to find what is clogging it up in order
to create space. I presume there is a conflict between 'alsa-modules-2.4.25-1-686'
and a '2.4.18-bf2.4' kernel. At the risk of what might be ovious to some, is this so ?
All I am trying to do is enable audio on Mplayer by configuring Alsa with soundcard
ens-1371 but I found
Tux:/usr/src/modules/alsa-driver# make > make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/modules/alsa-driver/acore' > gcc -D__KERNEL__ -DMODULE=1 -I/usr/src/modules/alsa-driver/include > -I/usr/src/linux/include -O2 -DLINUX -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes > -fomit-frame-pointer -Wno-trigraphs -O2 -fno-strict-aliasing > -fno-common -pipe -DALSA_BUILD -nostdinc -iwithprefix include > -DEXPORT_SYMTAB -c memalloc.c > In file included from memalloc.c:1: > memalloc.inc:1:26: linux/config.h: No such file or directory > In file included from memalloc.inc:2, > from memalloc.c:1: > /usr/src/linux/include/linux/version.h:1:1: too many decimal points in > number
If it clogs the system without working, it might not be worth the effort.
Any ideas how I should proceed ?
