I want to send mail for an alias into a file thus: /etc/aliases: foo: /home/david/foo/foomail
but I get a permission problem with it. The mail bounces with a permission denied message, even if I make /home/david/foo world writable. If I send foo's mail to /tmp/foomail it works exactly as I would like it, but creating a file owned by "nobody". Is there anyway to give "david" ownership of /home/david/foo/foomail? Also, is there a good write up anywhere on using pipe commands in /etc/aliases? So far I haven't been able to make google work for me :( I'm using Postfix. thanks..
