Yes, get one of the cheap ones that doesn't have a hardware MPEG decoder, that way you can do whatever you want with the transport stream coming off the card. If you want to output to a TV, most modern video cards will do SVHS out, or you can use a separate hardware decoder (like a DXR3). I have a Twinhan-based VisionPlus DTV card, which very recent 2.6 kernels support.
