Hi SLUG, There's a Codefest / Debian bugsquish being held on Saturday 29th May, as per http://debian.slug.org.au/events/detail.html?id=131
We're looking for two things: speakers to give talks on a variety of coding topics, and bugs from bugs.debian.org to close. Some possible topics for talks: - bug hunting techniques - bug hunting war stories - classic hacks - introduction to various programming techniques in different areas (graphics, networking, web...) - fun stuff I'd guess talks will be roughly 15-45 minutes in length, and they'll be fairly informal (my memories of codefests are a bunch of people sitting in a lab, some of them hacking, some of them listening to the talks). As for bugs, it would be great if people could nominate interesting bugs from http://bugs.debian.org/ in particular for coders to be unleashed on. Please contact me off-list, Mary -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ Subscription info and FAQs: http://slug.org.au/faq/mailinglists.html
