Hi All, Disaster occurred (Cat + coffee pot = toasted computer!) and I'm up for a new box. I figured I'd jump on the 64bit bandwagon and run up SuSE or Debian. I had ordered a system a few weeks ago, but cancelled it (long boring story, and before the feline follies).
So what would people recommend? I originally ordered an Asus K8V Deluxe but, the Promise SATA controller only works in 32bit mode (dammit). I was also going to grab an ATi Radeon (9600 or 9800) of some type, same deal, no 64bit drivers. Grrr - I'm seeing a pattern here. So what Athlon64 kit have people here got working (preferably in 64bit mode) with Linux (prefer Debian but anything that works is OK). Where did you source the parts from? I usually stick with eyo.com.au or cougar.com.au but neither have a wide range of Athlon64 mobo's which is a bummer.
