As opposed to other projects this is currently the only software supporting the full read/write access including the possibility to create/delete files, modify directories etc securely with no loss of data due to the use of native windows .dll libraries. http://www.jankratochvil.net/project/captive/ (2004-05-06) </command_line_mode> Personal Note Captive is easy as hell to install thanks to its nice clicky GUI tool that scans the hardisk/s for NTFS partitions and also installs the .ddl's either from a service pack or from the windows partition itself. No stuffing around with kernel modules "with hope it doesn't screw up my NTFS partition in write mode" because it uses "Microsoft's" own .dll's (and a bit of Wine wizardry ). Its open source and free to enjoy and its one of those gems in the open source community.
